Sunil Talati, P.E.
CEO
Sunil Talati is an engineering leader with over 30 years of experience spanning project management, business development, and the design of complex electrical systems, with deep expertise in power system analysis.
Over the course of his career, he has contributed to more than 15,000 MW of renewable generation projects across the United States, India, Europe, and other international markets.
Sunil holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from India, an M.S. in Power Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
Dr. Mandhir Sahni, Ph.D.
COO & Partner
Dr. Mandhir Sahni brings nearly 21 years of experience in generation and transmission planning within deregulated U.S. energy markets.
A recognized subject matter expert in grid integration of renewable and emerging technologies, he has advised utilities, developers, and Independent System Operators across all major ISO/RTO regions. Mandhir has led the origination, planning, and approval of more than $1.5 billion in transmission development projects and played a pivotal role in integrating wind and solar resources into the Texas grid through the CREZ transmission initiative.
He has served as an expert witness before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and has led numerous advanced power system studies domestically and internationally. Dr. Sahni has authored over 50 technical publications and holds one approved and two pending U.S. patents. He earned his B.S.E.E. from BMS College of Engineering (India) and his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Aparna Telang
Chief Administrative Officer
Aparna is an experienced administrative professional with over 20 years of expertise in administration, accounting, and human resources. She plays a key role in supporting day‑to‑day operations by managing financial reporting, payroll, HR processes and executive-level administrative functions.
Known for her strong attention to detail and organizational skills, Aparna ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all areas of responsibility. She is valued for her ability to streamline processes in a fast-paced environment, mange accounting, support employees, and contribute to a well‑organized, people‑focused workplace. Aparna has Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Financial Management and Auditing) from University of Mumbai, India.
Jorge Canamar
VP, Business Development & Client Cultivation
Jorge Canamar brings more than 17 years of experience in the transmission and distribution sector, combining technical depth with strategic business insight. He has supported the integration of over 2,000 MW of wind, solar, and battery storage resources into the ERCOT grid and has served as a subject matter expert for NERC compliance and utility audits.
Jorge has also contributed to the planning and execution of complex transmission projects, including HVDC and advanced grid technologies. At EEPlus, he leads business development initiatives, client relationships, and strategic partnerships to support long-term growth.
Abhijeet Karmakar
VP, Grid Interconnection Services, Generation & Large Loads
Abhijeet Karmakar has over 18 years of experience delivering technical power system studies and managing complex interconnection efforts for Independent Power Producers across the United States. His expertise spans generation deliverability assessments, interconnection applications, model development, and NERC/FERC compliance across ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, and SERC markets.
Abhijeet has supported IPPs throughout all stages of the interconnection process and has developed wind and solar collection system models for projects across multiple regions. Prior to joining EEPlus, he served as Senior Lead Consultant – Generation Interconnection at DNV GL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from India and a master’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Pavithra Rajagopalan
VP & Managing Director, Asia Pacific Operations
Pavithra Rajagopalan has over a decade of experience leading power system planning and reliability studies across multiple U.S. markets. She oversees teams performing generation and transmission planning, interconnection and queue management, Available Transfer Capability assessments, and system reliability impact analyses.
Her market experience includes SPP, CAISO, WECC, MISO, and FRCC, and she is highly proficient in PowerWorld, PSS®E, and ASPEN. Pavithra also specializes in automation development within PowerWorld to enhance efficiency and analytical rigor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from India and a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Akshaya Moharana, PhD
VP, Utility Advisory Services
Dr. Akshaya Moharana is a highly accomplished power systems engineer with extensive experience supporting utilities through advanced planning, interconnection, and compliance studies. His background includes leadership roles at Powertech Labs Inc. (Canada), where he served as Team Lead for Power System Studies, Network Application Team Lead, and Specialist Engineer, while also driving client engagement and business development initiatives.
Akshaya’s expertise spans transmission planning, load and generation modeling, interconnection studies, and NERC compliance, with experience supporting utilities and infrastructure projects globally. Prior to industry, he completed postdoctoral research at Western University, Canada. He holds a Ph.D. from Western University, a B.Eng. from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, and is proficient in industry-leading power system analysis tools.
