Dr. Mandhir Sahni brings nearly 21 years of experience in generation and transmission planning within deregulated U.S. energy markets.
A recognized subject matter expert in grid integration of renewable and emerging technologies, he has advised utilities, developers, and Independent System Operators across all major ISO/RTO regions. Mandhir has led the origination, planning, and approval of more than $1.5 billion in transmission development projects and played a pivotal role in integrating wind and solar resources into the Texas grid through the CREZ transmission initiative.
He has served as an expert witness before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and has led numerous advanced power system studies domestically and internationally. Dr. Sahni has authored over 50 technical publications and holds one approved and two pending U.S. patents. He earned his B.S.E.E. from BMS College of Engineering (India) and his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Arlington.
